Privacy Policy
What this website collects, how we use it and the choices you have.
Last updated: October 23, 2026
OpenSkills is a nonprofit educational initiative. We collect as little personal information as we can, and we never sell it.
Information you send us
When you use our contact form, you give us your name, email address, the reason you're contacting us and your message. We use this information only to reply to you and to improve OpenSkills.
Information saved on your device
Your course progress, quiz results, practice checklists and the name you enter for a certificate are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. This information is not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google's servers. We don't use advertising cookies and we don't track you across other websites.
How we share information
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and receive form messages, and only as needed for that purpose, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep information
We keep contact messages only as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep reasonable records.
Your choices
- Ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information you've sent us by using the contact form.
- Remove your saved course progress at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Young learners
OpenSkills is for a general audience. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
